For the past couple of weeks I have kept a strict watch on my app-using behavior as a user and I am surprised to know that except very few, most of the other mobile apps in my mobile phone, have remained untouched for a good number of weeks and the reason is obvious that I don’t like them, or in other words, they don’t serve any purpose to me, so I never bothered to open those mobile apps, and sadly I uninstalled those mobile apps after analyzing my user behavior.
I am sounding little rude, but just like me there are many in numbers, who are not using a number of mobile apps in their Smartphones and those mobile apps finally get uninstalled on one fine day. I believe this situation, we all face now and then, but the question is what leads this situation to occur? The current era of mobile app technology is full of options and users have a myriad of mobile apps, available to them to choose from, there are various aspects which decide, whether your mobile can mark the presence in your user’s heart or not. The negative affirmation to this statement leads to the app reaction. So today I am going to review some of the reasons why users hate a mobile app, based on my personal research and analysis, so let’s read together… Vague App Concept I always suggest to my fellow-workers, that find the motive to deliver the services, once you find it, it becomes, quite easier for you to deliver the final output. Many mobile apps have a commendable UI/ UX, but the app has a vague or blurred app concept, which serves no purpose for the users. So don’t get a mobile app, just for the sake of getting a mobile app, rather find out the reason to build a mobile app. Your mobile app concept should dictate that what your mobile app is all about and most importantly, how is it going to help the users, once you are clear about your concept, your users can feel and see it clearly in your mobile app. In-App Advertisements Thinking to attain the monetary benefits from your mobile app is not at all a bad idea, but your monetary gain intention should not over-rule the app functionalities. A mobile app is a great marketing tool and adding it with adverts can draw attention from millions of app users and can help you gain the monetary benefits too, but the excessive dose of in-app adverts only cause distraction and increase the frustration amongst the users. So do not let there be a flood of adverts in your mobile app, this would only throw your mobile app forward to the uninstall button. User Interference The app interface is the point which can break or make your app image. When users visit your mobile app for the very first time, they have the expectation to access a hub of information and services in the easiest way possible, but if they get a confused and complex user interface, no matter how unique your app concept would be, but it would never be able to save your mobile app from being dumped. As a mobile app developer, you need to be extra cautious with the mobile app design and interface and need to invest your creativity in a way, that it would not turn complicated for the users. Rigid Login Formalities Your app users expect to ease down their issues they face while accessing your services through your mobile app and of course, the security is a prime concern, wherein you demand certain information from your users to let them access the app, but you don’t need to make the login process rigid enough. Lemme explain, many mobile apps have a login process, which seeks to enter email id/phone number to access the app further, but not every user is comfortable in sharing these personal details, so instead of sharing the details, they prefer to abandon the app in the middle, finding no other way out. So you need to provide your users additional and the convenient way to access the mobile app, through their social media profile, which is the easiest way to ensure the security and the login details formality Too Many Notifications I personally uninstalled those mobile apps which give excessive pop-up notifications and bombard my mobile screen every now and then. Your users expect you to share the relevant information with them not EVERY information, so understand your user’s behavior and share the relevant notifications only and when it is required. Battery Drainage Hmmm, it is the other disheartening reason, which leads the mobile apps to get uninstalled sooner. No user prefers to keep a mobile app, which consumes the mobile battery faster. This happens, when your mobile app is filled with excessive features and animations which evaporate the phone battery quickly. You need to limit down the app features and get the app well tested to ensure app does not become the reason behind the battery drainage. These are just some of the reasons that make users to detest your mobile app fully. You need to avoid every possible hurdle coming in the way of your app success and need to develop your mobile app in a way so it can enhance the app usability to the fullest. Many Top mobile app development companies are there in the market to address your app development requirements, but you need to do a thorough research and analysis to pick the mobile application development company for your business goals. I will come up with more tech-filled information to satiate your mobile app technology quest to find a niche…So till the next time…keep reading and CIAO
